Professional Trainings (technical area)

Mechanotrician (IHK)

• Training period: 3 ½ years
• Conditions: Secondary modern school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife)
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: Basics of working with metal (e.g. grinding, milling, etc.), optimization of electronic and electrical devices and machines

Electronics Engineer for Industrial Engineering (IHK)

• Training period: 3 ½ years
• Conditions: Secondary modern school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife)
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: Basics of working with metal (e.g. grinding, milling, etc.), installation of electrical systems, starting up of electronic or electrical devices and machines

Machine and Plant Operator Plastics and Metal (IHK)

• Training period: 2 years
• Conditions: Secondary modern school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss)
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: Basics of working with metal (e.g. grinding, milling, etc.), operating of machines and devices

Process Engineer for Plastics and Rubber (IHK)

• Training period: 3 years
• Conditions: Secondary modern school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife)
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: Basics of working with metal (e.g. grinding, milling, etc.), start up and optimization of moulds and machines, surveillance of production

Tool Engineering Technician (IHK)

• Training period: 3 ½ years
• Conditions: Secondary modern school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife)
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: Working with metal (e.g. grinding, milling, etc.), manufacturing and maintenance of injection moulds

Professional Trainings (commercial area)

Industrial Clerk (IHK)

• Training period: 3 years
• Conditions: intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife), good command of English
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: exercise commercial functions in an industrialized company (e.g.: technical & production administration, Marketing & Sales, Personnel, Purchasing, Accountancy, Material Supply), exercise a project (report & presentation)

Industrial Clerk with Foreign Language Correspondent English

• Training period: 2,5 years
• Conditions: intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife), excellent command of English
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Language course and training on the job abroad: four weeks in England
• Training on the job: exercise commercial functions in an industrialized company (e.g. Marketing & Sales, Human Resources, Purchasing, Accountancy, Material Supply, Production Planning, etc.)

Office Management Assistant (IHK)

• Training period: 3 years
• Conditions: intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife), good command of English
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: exercise commercial functions in an industrialized company (e.g.: office working and statistics, office organization, information processing, Accountancy, Personnel, etc.)

Technically oriented Product Designer (IHK)

• Training period: 3,5 years
• Conditions: intermediate high school certificate
• Theoretical training at Voccational School
• Training on the job: basics of working with metal, plastics and wood, 3D modelling, evaluation of feasability for mould processes

European Industrial Clerk (IHK)
(= Industrial Clerk plus intensive training in foreign languages (English, French, Spanish), foreign trade and in electronic data processing)

• Training period: 3 years
• Conditions: school leaving examination for University entrance (Fachabitur or Abitur), good command of English and French
• Theoretical training at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)
• Contents of the training: identical with the contents of the industrial clerk
• Final examination not only as Industrial Clerk but also as Foreign Language Correspondence Clerk in English and French
